| | Last night, after waking up, I was lying down on the couch and playing Legend of Dragoon so I could catch up to where I was in my blog before I lost the save file. My back was kinda hurting, so I propped myself up nice and comfortably with pillows and had a blanket over my legs. It was quite cozy. While playing, I was totally distracted from my life and I forgot about all the dumb little things that have been plaguing me lately and I lost myself in old school gameplay and grainy graphics. Then, out of nowhere, my cat jumps up on the couch and lies down on my leg, something he never does. I petted his head and continued to play. For a while, we just sat like that and I couldn't help but smile.
It's perfect moments like that, no matter how brief, that can make me content for hours at a time. Thinking back on it now, I can almost forget how frustrating working last night was and I can still smile even though it's snowing out.
It's not so bad, after all.
